Join us at 8:00 am on Thursday morning, July 4th for the St. Matthews Independence Day 5K. This race has its origins back to the late 1970's (and the course unchanged) in what was then called the St. Matthews Pavement Pounder. This fun and fast timed race begins and ends at St. Matthews Baptist Church (3515 Grandview Avenue). Walkers are welcome!

RACE SHIRTS
FREE moisture wicking tech shirts (your choice of women's tank or unisex short sleeve) guaranteed to all pre-registered entrants who registered by June 15th. Pre-registered runners may pick up shirts at early packet pickup. Shirts after June 15th and day-of-race entrants will be given out on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.

Wear your most patriotic red, white and blue win Ken Combs Running Store gift certificates, $25 for each individual category and $100 for the group category. Costume contest categories for:
- Most Patriotic Male and Female
- Most Patriotic Group
- Most Patriotic Youth (10 and under)
Awards, fruit, coffee, bagels, costume contest judging and door prize drawings will take place in the parking lot following the race.
RACE AS A TEAM!
The Team Challenge is open to any 3 to 5 person teams in three divisions: Male, Female, or Coed. Fastest three on each team are scored, the Coed team must score one woman. You will not only compete for team awards each team member is also eligible for an individual time and awards! Ken Combs Running Store gift certificates for each winning team in each category ($10 for each team member)There is no additional fee to participate in the Team Challenge.

And first, second and third place male and female and Ken Combs Gift Certificates ($20, $15, $10) in these age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80 and over.
