Santa Sprint and Stroll 5k Virtual Run/Walk 2020

Register for Santa Sprint and Stroll 5k Virtual Run/Walk 2020

Due to the current social distancing restrictions we have decided, for 2020, to make the Santa Sprint and Stroll 5k Run/Walk virtual.  To celebrate the 25th Anniversary, we’ve also added in a One Mile Run/Walk as well.

A virtual race is a race that can be run or walked from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on a treadmill or track. You get to run your own race, at your own pace.  The Santa Sprint and Stroll race day will be on December 19th, 2020, but you can run and submit your time any day between December 18th and December 20th.  After December 20th, we’ll post the leaderboard with your name, time and ranking and you can download your own personalized Finisher Certificate.  We would love to see everyone out in their own neighborhoods or local park completing their 5k or One Mile.

This year as well as raising money for United Crescent Hill Ministries with your entry fee, we’re giving you the opportunity to up your game and raise additional donations.  Raise a minimum of $250 and we’ll refund your registration fee.

NEW THIS YEAR!
Race packet will include a custom tech running neck gaiter/buff, that can be used in many different, useful ways.  Also a race bib, sponsor coupons and 25th Anniversary Commemorative Finisher Medal.

Register by midnight, December 9th and your race packet will be mailed to you in time to wear your race buff and bib on your virtual run.  Register after December 9th and your packet will be mailed to you but we can’t guarantee delivery by race day. United Crescent Hill Ministries builds compassionate community by providing programs for education, emergency assistance, health, wellness, and social activities.

United Crescent Hill Ministries (UCHM) is a community ministry sponsored by 19 churches/religious institutions, businesses, and individuals within Crescent Hill, Clifton, Clifton Heights, and Butchertown for the purpose of providing vital social services to these communities and beyond.

UCHM was formed after the devastating tornado of 1974, when churches who helped provide services during the tornado chose to continue to work together in developing other needed community programs for the neighborhood. This outreach is reflected in our mission statement: “Serving Our Neighbors ~ Building Better Community”. UCHM’s services have grown to include programming that serves the wider Louisville Metro area, including our youth and senior programs.

UCHM serves approximately 3,500 individuals with a range of programs that includes: emergency financial and food assistance, youth programming, health prevention services, senior citizen nutrition program and Meals on Wheels, senior citizen activities, community development and organizing, ecumenical activities, outreach, referral and advocacy. UCHM services are provided with the help of 350 volunteers, two full-time staff, and two part-time staff.
